Fellow Pace Football Alumni,
Over the last few months, in coordination with the current administration, we have taken on the task of establishing the Setter Gridiron Club. We will now be united through an organization founded and governed by former players, which will give football alumni a greater voice.
This club was founded to reunite and welcome new members of the Pace University Football family. The main objective is to establish and grow the network of active alumni and raise the essential funds to support the program. Our purpose will be to strengthen, encourage and advance the football team. We will achieve these goals by integrating this objective and this purpose into our club through a long-term commitment aligned with the core values of the Pace University Football program.
Our first order of business is to elect the Setter Gridiron Club’s Executive Board. You can register your contact information at www.settergridironclub.com/registration/; and nominate by going to www.settergridironclub.com/nominations/.
Position descriptions and requirements to hold office can be found there as well. Nominations will begin immediately and will end Thursday 4/14 at 5pm. Voting will commence Friday 4/15 at 9am and end Wednesday 4/20 at 5pm. Once we have a board in place we will schedule our first meeting and discuss all plans for club business going forward. www.SetterGridironClub.com will be the medium utilized for all club news, events and information.
Along with the election process, the Setter Gridiron Club plans to coordinate events around the following important dates:
- 4/23/16 – Spring Game
- 4/29/16 – Pace University Hall of Fame Dinner and Awards Ceremony
- Rich Johnson ’87 – 2016 (Football Inductee)
- 4/30/16 – Ianniello Field House Grand Opening Ceremony
- 10/8/16 – Homecoming & Reunion 2016
Through our organization, you will be able to reconnect with former teammates and in time, the Setter Gridiron Club website will be a place for you to see old pictures, programs and memories. We are only as strong as we are united, so please pass along the links to your former teammates and spread the word.

I would just like to Thank the Executive Board for taking on their responsibilities and for the responsible parties that will allow us all to champion our pride and passion for Pace Football. I live in Florida, part of my heart will always be in Westchester. I hope to reconnect with you all in person at an upcoming event.
Thanks for the appreciation and kind words, Smitty! I think collectively, we’ve always talked about doing something, getting a reunion going, getting some support started, etc., but we are all finally getting this into motion.
Definitely hope to see you soon! It’s been far too long, brotha!
